Replacement thunderbolt cable for 27 inch Apple Display

I have a ten-year-old 27 inch display connected to my MacBook Pro (2021) using a thunderbolt3 to 2 adapter. The thunderbolt connector has been taped up for a couple of years and has finally packed in.

I know Apple no longer supplies the monitor to Mac cable with the split power/thunderbolt cables. Is there any other way I can restore this wonderful display to life? It would be a shame to abandon it simply because the cable has worn out!

Is there a third party cable and if so what port in the back of the display would it use?

If it's the Apple Thunderbolt display it will have a Thunderbolt port (Lightning bolt icon) on the back. You can connect from that to the Thunderbolt 3 adapter, to the computer's Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port using a Thunderbolt 2 cable.
