Phone Call Audio Output Default to Watch Speaker/Mic if Answered from Apple Watch (Whether non-Apple Earbuds are paired or not)

Same issue as the below thread. When answering calls on Apple Watch Series 7 phone call audio automatically defaults to coming out of the watch. If I answer the call via the phone, audio goes to earbuds as they should.

Earbuds are Jabra Elite 85t, so I'd assume this incompatibility is yet another byproduct of Apple's coveted "walled garden", but would be nice to answer phone calls from my wrist and not have the entire world privy to my conversation.

Hey jauvilgiles,

If you continue to experience the issue, make sure the Apple Watch and the paired iPhone are up-to-date. Since they include bug fixes, this is a great step to help resolve software related issues:

If the issue continues, unpair and then repair your Bluetooth headset to help troubleshoot. See those steps here:

Use AirPods and other Bluetooth accessories with Apple Watch - Apple Support

"Unpair your Bluetooth accessory

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth on your Apple Watch.
  2. Tap  next to your accessory.
  3. Tap Forget Device."

If the issue continues, reach out to Apple Support directly for assistance: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

Take care.
