iPod Classic file could not be read or written

Hello everyone,

I've been trying to sync my music onto a classic iPod (2004) and whenever I try to put music onto it, I get the following message:

"'Song name' could not be copied to the iPod 'iPod owner name' because the file could not be read or written"

I can play the song in iTunes and locate the song on my computer, I've tried syncing the same music from a different computer, but I get the following error. The problem is that this is entirely randomized. When I unplug the iPod and try to resync, the song that wouldn't sync earlier would sync onto the iPod, but the next song wouldn't. I suspect that it is a hardrive problem.

Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.
