Focus mode turning off automatically

I have been successfully using focus mode for fitness for close to a year now. All working great. But since switching to iPhone 14Pro and possibly upgrading my watch OS to 9.0, the fitness focus mode turns itself off.

I go into focus, turn it on, walk to the gym, check, and it’s turned itself off again. Or I will turn it on, check in 30 min and it’s off again.

ive tried restarting my phone and my watch but unfortunately it hasn’t helped. Is anyone else encountering this?
