Car Crash Detection for Apple Watch 6

I have an iPhone 14 pro but Apple Watch 6. Will auto crash detection still work or do I need Watch 8 as well?

The iPhone 14 has the improved acceleromitors for crash detection.


The Apple Watch 6 does not.


If you have your iPhone with you, then the iPhone will detect the crash.


If you will not have your iPhone with you, and only the Apple Watch, then you would need an Apple Watch Series 8 or the 2nd generation Apple Watch SE.
