I ordered a 2nd generation pencil to my daughter's iPad (unfortunately) by look at it doesn't pair but have the magnetic strip?!!
Does 1st generation could be charged too using it?
Do disappointed maybe cant return it because she put engraving on it (so sad)!
The 9th Generation iPad is not compatible with a second generation Apple Pencil.
The 9th gen iPad does not have magnetic strip for it.
You need a first generation Apple Pencil of the 9th Generation iPad.

You can return the engraved pencil for a full refund if its been less than 14 days since you bought it.

That's the keyboard connector. It does nothing for the Pencil.

It does has some kind of strip and is magnetic..
It attached the 2nd generation pencil like a charm maybe I am wrong
