My back camera is really blurry

before I updated my phone to the IOS 16 my back camera was perfectly fine and clear no matter if it's in 1x or 0.5x. Now that I have updated it, everytime it's in 1x it's always really blurry. It's not just on my camera app that comes on the phone it's the same for my snap, instagram and tiktok. I've tried searching up the problem and it said to wipe the lenses and I did, it didn't do anything. I don't know whats wrong with it, I've tried tapping the screen to get it to focus but it just one. This only started a few days after the update to. I don't know if it's the update or something else.

Hello C0R3Y_Y,

Ensuring the rear facing camera is working as expected is important and you've walked through fantastic troubleshooting steps to help work towards a resolution. In addition to the steps you've already completed, you'll want to complete the steps listed below. These steps can also be found in the following article. While the title of the article references the camera not working at all, the steps are relevant.

  1. "Remove any case, accessory, or film that might block the camera or flash or that places a magnet near the camera.
  2. Test the camera by trying to take a photo.
  3. Test the LED flash:
    1. Try the flashlight in Control Center on your iPhone or Control Center on your iPad. On an iPhone X or later or an iPad, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen. On an iPhone 8 or earlier, swipe up from the bottom edge of any screen.
    2. Tap the Flashlight button Flashlight icon."

  1. "If the photo is blurry, clean the front and back camera lenses with a microfiber cloth. If you see dirt or debris inside the lens or if the camera lens appears to be misaligned or blocked, contact Apple Support to discuss service options.
  2. Restart your iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch
  3. Test the camera again by taking a photo. If your device has a front and rear camera, check if one or both isn’t working. To switch cameras, tap the rotate button ."

Make sure to complete all the steps listed here. If you continue to have issues after those steps, reaching out to Apple is the right next step for reaching a resolution. You can find their contact details via the link included in step 1 in the second set of steps above, and via the link below.
