Hi everyone. Anyone else having this issue. Started when I updated to ios16. Every time I make a call to one person or receive a call, it comes up with two contact names or even random phone numbers. These are not double up contacts either.

once I updated my phone to the 16 I started to have problems. When I call out one person it calls two people done on FaceTime. Also my call log reads I made two phone calls when I only made one and other is random. This is not a good reason to spend a lot of money on a phone that only gives you issues that can’t be resolved. I heard Tesla is coming out with a new phone and just might take most of apple’s customers.
I have the same problem is there a fix for this that anyone knows of?

Clear the list and restart your phone. It solved the problem for me.
I deleted my call history then restarted my phone and it seems to work.
Hi all , I am getting the double up call every time a call anyone wether it’s from contacts or recents , have deleted all the double ups and rebooted phone but still the same.
how can solve this problem that everything on iPhone is twice names???? Pls
Yes, I get this too since I installed 16. Really strange.

Did you completely clear the call list (not just the doubled entries)? Did you restart your phone after clearing your call list?
I tried clearing all the recents, did a hard restart and the recents are still there!
If you cleared all the recents, how are they still there?
Good Question. They were gone after I cleared them, but when I restarted they were there again!
I'd try again. I've never seen that happen. When you've cleared the list, don't force restart your phone; there's no need for that. Just turn it off and turn it back on.
