Transferring Mailboxes and contents from Macbook Air to Macbook Pro 2022

Most of the transfer has gone well but there are a series of mailboxes set up on the Air (eg Online purchases, paypal, family etc) that contain emails.

None of those mailboxes (about 50 in total) nor the emails in them have transferred over to the Pro.

Can anyone provide help in terms of how to do it.

Many thanks.

Rob

Thanks - no hidden file structures or mailboxes to open up I'm afraid.

I've also tried migration assistant but there is no category for mail folders :(

To expand on the information in my OP, all the standard mailboxes for each mail account - eg inbox, sent, draft, etc.. are there. It is the ones that were set up manually on the old macbook and where incoming and sent emails were transferred into them manually are the ones I'm trying to get onto the macbook pro.

Hope this helps.

Have a look at this:

Import or export mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

On the old Mac, you can use the Apple Mail command "Export" to export the mailboxes you want to move over to the new Mac. Save those files on an external drive, then connect that drive to the new Mac and "Import" those files (which are in mbox format) from within Apple Mail on the new Mac.

You can also use the "Import" command with the appropriate mail folder from within that V9 folder if you can locate it following P. Phillips instructions. Find the mail folder inside V9 that has the mailboxes you want to move over to the new Mac.

?

On My mac is just that — on your mac.

Do you need to expose the mailboxes by spinning the carrot... move your mouse to the right side(?)

Thanks so much, finally managed to get most of the import done by your suggestion of exporting to a usb drive.

The import of emails worked fine for all the high level mail boxes but if any of those mail boxes had other mail boxes off it they did not come across.

Its something that I can live with though :)

Tx again

You might need to manually Export and Import those additional sub-mailboxes separately. It can certainly be done, but it's up to you to decide if it is worth the additional effort.
