Does anyone know how to make the apple tv remote control the volume on a hisense tv, I have gone through all the settings and tried everything but I can't make it work, the apple tv remote makes the tv turn off, so I'm sure it can work. Is there a may to make the apple tv change volume via Bluetooth instead of IR, as I think that might help. Thank you.

With your Apple TV Remote not working for volume buttons, it's important to know that not all audio setups support the use of the volume buttons. You would need to use the remote that came with your TV to change volume.
If the remote previously worked with your TV, there are a few steps you can try to have this working again.
If you have a Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote, charge it for 30 minutes using a Lightning to USB cable and a USB wall charger. If you have an Apple Remote, replace the battery.
Unplug your Apple TV from the wall power outlet. Wait at least six seconds, then plug it back in.
You can find these and more steps to have your Apple TV Remote working again If your Apple TV remote isn't working.

I have the same issue. "Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Volume Control﹥Learn New Device" doesn't work. Incredibly frustrating
