Cannot delete local iPhone contacts

I upgraded to latest iOS and my iPhone has established a series of local contact groups that I cannot delete . I have my iCloud contacts which are fine but it seems somehow it imported 35,000 salesforce_sync contacts and I don’t even have the salesforce app or anything syncing . Trying to find a way to delete these contacts in bulk - all apps that offer this only find the normal iCloud contacts and not that 35k local contacts on my phone .

Hi yqasim,

Here are some options you can try to remove these contacts in bulk:

  1. From Salesforce, Cannot sync Contacts or Calendars between Salesforce app and mobile device it is the case that "Salesforce for Android and iOS does not have built in functionality to sync Contacts." You can try one of the workarounds listed there to sync 0 contacts.
  2. As they are third-party contacts, you can also contact Salesforce for help Salesforce Help | Home.
  3. If the device belongs to a company, contact the company admin for assistance.
  4. As they are not added by an account, just synced, on the phone the only way to remove them will be individually by following Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Take care.
