USB-C to DVI-D Monitor not working on MacBook Pro 2019
So I want to connect my acer monitor to my macbook pro 2019. The problem is my acer monitor only has VGA and DVI-D inputs and no HDMI.
I bought a USB-C to DVI-D cable in the hope to connect my macbook to my monitor. When I connect the USB-C to my mac and the DVI-D to my monitor it says no signal. I've tried to put the USB-C in my Satechi adapter, and that adapter in my laptop but that doesn't work either.
The cable supports up to 4k resolution, my acer monitor only up to 1920x1080 (Full HD). My macbook pro is 2560x1600 but that shouldn't be the problem right?
Does anyone know what the problem is? My macbook is up to date to macOS Monterey 12.6.
I'd appreciate the help.
Cheers,
