Can't view Google maps in Safari
I'm on a mac book pro mid 2015 with the latest Monterey 12.6, after loading the new software update I can no longer use Google Maps, it's a thin horizontal lines.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

In another discussion users are reporting the following works...
Safari->Preferences-Advanced->check “Show Develop menu in menu bar”. Now from the Develop menu select “Experimental Features” and scroll down to “WebGL via Metal” and uncheck it. Now try Google Maps again.
It appears this issue is limited to Intel based Macs running Safari 16.0. I have an M1 Mac Studio and do not experience the issue. Anyway, try this and report back.
Everything is like this. You found the solution. you knew where to look for it. We're constantly using other people's solutions...the question is where to look for and how to apply it.

Well, are you logged in as an Admin user or is your Mac remotely administered by an employer or school district?
Log in to your Apple ID and then try again. That's how it worked for me.
