iPhone 12 mini not correctly charging with magsafe

I have the 3-in-1 belkin magsafe charger for my apple watch, airpods and iphone. i put it on charge around 12 am (you can see it charged a bit) but it stopped shortly after that. Then after my phone died it started charging (but it doesn’t show the charging symbol, just that the battery level increases). I woke up and put it on charge after checking it while i showered, and that’s where that little charging period shows. I’m on ios 16 (first edition). Can someone help me understand how to keep my phone charging overnight? My charger has a stable power source.

Hello sam418,

Are you able to successfully charge via a Lightning cable or another MagSafe/wireless charger? This can help to just see if it may be an issue with the particular charger being used. You may also wish to try a different power source, and connecting the charger directly to the wall's outlet if possible.

This page can provide some assistance for charging-related issues as well: If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support

For example it'll note that it may help to force restart the iPhone:

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears

If there is a case on the device then see if removing that temporarily helps out as well, to rule out any conflicts there.

Lastly, it can also help to update the device to iOS 16.0.2 if you haven't just yet. This will ensure the latest fixes/improvements have been applied: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Cheers.
