Is Apple Music capable of reading Mp3 POPM rating tags?
224–255 = 5 stars when READ with Windows Explorer, writes 255
160–223 = 4 stars when READ with Windows Explorer, writes 196
096–159 = 3 stars when READ with Windows Explorer, writes 128
032–095 = 2 stars when READ with Windows Explorer, writes 64
001–031 = 1 star when READ with Windows Explorer, writes 1
No. Apple Music & iTunes use internal database fields for ratings that are not written out to the tag, or read from it. What exactly is it that you want to achieve? If you want to get ratings from iTunes to Apple Music one approach might be save the ratings in the Grouping field, but they should also be preserved if you've moving the whole library. Got it. Doesn't work like that. Ratings and play counts are stored in the database only to streamline the way these details sync to and from any device without the media file needing to be updated. I have seen various tools over the years that claim to copy POPM data to or from iTunes, but I don't have anything in particular to recommend.

I found a workaround for the issue....
Would be far easier if Apple Music just supported MP3 tags like every other music player.
I want to read MP3 tags and POPM fields like every Windows-based music application, Windows OS and other Mac Music apps.
I get that Apple wants people to use Apple Music and the god-awful iTunes, but would have been nice if they allowed them to read POPM fields like basically every other product.
