com.apple.WebKit.WebContent - how many should we have

Hi.

I've a mac with 2 user (sessions) and as I've a low memory on one of the users, was looking at the Activity Monitor.

There I see 18 com.apple.WebKit.WebContent while having only 6 sessions on the "active" user.

The other "user" session, open too has a lot of tabs open but I thought it didn't impact as I'm not using that session.

Is there a reason for so many com.apple.WebKit.WebContent while so few session on the "active "user ?

the mac is a M1 Macbook Air with 16Gb RAM, showing 60Mb ram still available....

MacBook, macOS 11.5

Two sessions will use more of the available memory, a hypervisor will use more too, and app and I/O caching will be reduced as memory usage reaches the available limit, and macOS then manages memory by tossing out apps, and by reloading tabs.

It’s not a 1:1 thing.
