Very slow upload speed to iCloud from my home network

I am lucky to have a symmetric 1Gbps fibre connection, and I often get upload and download speeds of around 50-60 MB/sec. However, with icloud, I seem to max out at 4-5MB/sec when uploading to icloud. According to my router, nothing apart from the upload is happening. This happens from my iPad on wifi and my MacBook pro connected with a 10Gbit connection to my router.

MacBook Air M1 Upload speed issues Over the past few weeks I have been struggling with upload speeds on my MacBook Air M1. over wifi with too I am getting download speeds in the region of 300-500MB/s but download speeds of around 0.5 MB/s preventing me from being able to upload anything, like syncing Adobe Lightroom or iCloud. I have done a complete erase and re-install on my Mac, going back to Ventura which briefly gave normal upload speeds before reverting to nothing again. I am now back onto Sonoma 14.2.1 and the problem persists.

Slow network speeds on iCloud Hi, I have issues with iCloud upload/download speeds. Whenever my iPhone is syncing something or I'm uploading/downloading something from iCloud.com, I get ~2Mbps of speed on average. I can confirm this is not my network issue. I have used Mega and Google and they both allow upload/download speeds of up to 100 Mbps (which is my network's limit). I was just going to upgrade my iCloud plan to allow more storage so I can use it as my main cloud drive, but it seems impossible due to speeds this bad. I can not wait hours for things to upload/download. Does someone else have this issue or is there some way I can resolve this? I have already signed up for a Google One plan and I'm planning to switch to Google Drive if this stays the same. It's not going to be as convenient as iCloud on iPhone but I can compromise that. Oh, and I'm from Pakistan. Just in case it's a server thing :D Thank you.

iCloud Photo upload kills network connectivity Hi there, I recently noticed a weird issue during my iCloud Photo sync. When the sync progress is running (added a large collection of old photos) my entire network breaks down. The MacBook Pro is connected via 5 GHz WiFi but as soon as I start the sync process (by simply opening Photos) all devices in the network can't communicate properly. On saturday I married my wonderful wife and today I also wanted to upload some pictures (around 50) and again all devices went "partly" offline. The servers can't be reached anymore. My wife noticed it because TikTok went offline every 1-2 videos and my YouTube stream constantly broke down to 360p with high buffering. Because it happened twice in several month (first macOS Monterey, today macOS Ventura) I thought it is worth posting here. I also can remember experiencing this issues when iCloud Photo was first published. Since this could be a bug with high potential to break down enterprise WiFis (hopefully not) I hope someone of you also experienced it. With best regards Benedikt
