Apple TV iOS 16.0 has messed everything up

The most recent system up date is a joke!!! my up next tray stopped updating and i lost the ability to air play from my iPad mini to my Apple TV when there is absolutely nothing wrong with my network connections SMH!!! It constantly keeps asking me to connect apps that I’ve been using for years on my apple tv that should already be connected (literally every show I watch it ask me to connect) a bug update needs to be pushed out to fix this f*cking mess!!! So super annoying like for real WTF!!!! And please note this is on both of my Apple TVs not just the one noted as living room!!! Side note I have never seen any of my Netflix shows in my up next even though I’ve heard they should be showing in my up next tray!!!

For the TV app, I don't see evidence to show that it was the update as I have not encountered it during regular testing and personal use, and this is the first report I have seen since the update was released. That is in no way discounting your experience, just that it appears it is more isolated and would be best to consult with Apple to determine why it is happening.


As for airplay, those issues can sometimes coincide with an update, but as I said it is the developers responsibility to fix it when it is a 3rd party app.

Not sure why you would want to stream Prime Video from iPad, when the Prime Video app is also available on Apple TV HD.

When asked to connect these apps, please do, to have their content linked in the Apple TV app (Watch Now, Up Next).

Netflix has always refused to participate in connecting to the Apple TV app. You may have been misinformed. The only mention of Netflix content in the Apple TV app, is select results in Search (“Netflix Originals”).

I have a specific reason I was airplaying the prime video and ever since the updates it has not worked and it maddening that this even happened. As for the connection of the apps I have connected them and it continues to keep asking me and my what now up next is no longer updated!!! WTF did they do with this new update… I want to drop all my devices back to the previous update so they work… I should not have to connect ever single time I select a show… and then when I stop half way because of whatever reason and come back see that it hasn’t updated to show this is a partially watched show or removed it when I’ve actually watched it… I have to manually go in every time to note this has been watched because the up next is not functioning properly!!!!
