iPad Air 2 is extremely slow

Hi

I have an iPad Air 2 128gb that has iPadOS15.5 version.

the iPad is extremely slow these days and even a complete reset is not helping.

the free storage is always around 50 to 70gb and I even uninstalled most of the pre-installed apps hoping it will help iPad not become slow. I use very limited number of apps.

can someone suggest what I can do to get my iPad work better and how to solve the slowness issue!

Updating to the most recent version of iPadOS may help - this being iPadOS 15.7.

Consider, however, that your iPad Air2 was release 8 years old - and has been in active support for longer than any other model of iPad. The Air2 has the minimum technical specification that is capable of supporting iPadOS15.x. As such, its CPU, RAM and other hardware will not be able to produce equivalent performance of much more recent models of iPad that feature more advanced CPU and hardware. Your Air2 will not, for example, be able to be updated to iPadOS16 when it is released in the near future.

If you need or would enjoy better performance - and benefit from more advanced features - you may be approaching the point of needing to consider replacement with a much newer or current model of iPad.
