External Monitor Display Settings Resetting

I am using a 16" MacBook Pro M1Pro and I am having issues with my Mac going to sleep and then when woken up all the desktops, apps, settings, and even sometimes the arrangement of the monitors to the laptop and the orientation (I have a monitor at 90 degrees) are all messed up. I am currently using one 90 degree monitor and one normal. Can you please tell me if it's possible to lock these settings so it always returns to the default? Especially since I will sometimes need to unplug my Mac and don't want to go through the trouble of setting it up each time.
