not letting me authorize computer when only 3 devices authorized

I recently bought a new computer. I know the limit on authorized devices is 5. I have three devices currently authorized. I verified that on my Apple account settings. When I try to add my new computer, I'm getting an error message that I have 5 devices authorized. Anyone have a work around?
