Cannot pass the ear tip fit test

I have the AirPods Pro (1st gen). No matter what I do, I cannot get them to “pass” the ear tip fit test. They used to, all the time, then suddenly stopped. See the message I get. I’ve tried small, medium, and large tips, with the original silicone tips, with aftermarket silicone tips, and aftermarket foam. Nothing will pass the test. The medium silicone tips feel and sound good, the ones I’ve used from the beginning, and the ones that always passed the test.

Any thoughts? I’m wondering if some iOS update somewhere along the line changed the parameters and made the tips always fail.
