Has anyone been able to restore the WhatsApp data from an ITunes backup?
I’ve successfully done a backup on my PC, but once I restore my IPhone from that backup, all my data was there, except the WhatsApp. I did not a back on the iCloud, so basically lost all my WhatsApp data.
I’m with an iPhone 11 Pro Max. I was with the latest iOS 15. I’m currently with the IOS 16.
Any ideias how i could fix it?
I have to confess I assumed Whatsapp messages always lived in the cloud, but clearly that isn't the case. Given the content wasn't restored with the rest of your device backup, and you hadn't enabled the automatic backup to iCloud I think it is fair to assume this data has gone for good.

I recommend you enable the iCloud backup for Whatsapp now so at least you're not caught out again.

Thank you, man. I guess you’re right. I’ve all methods I’ve found online. By now, I already assume the data is lost.
