My old iMac crashed and I had to get a new on with a newer OS and now my email threads don´t show up in chronological order anymore.
Please note that I´m not talking about how to sort emails. The problem is how the replies show up in a thread.
Is there a fix for this bug?

It sounds like you having an issue with how emails are shown in the Mail app on your new Mac when there are multiple replies to the same thread. Based on this description, this might help:
"Change the order of messages in the preview area: Choose Mail > Preferences, click Viewing, then select or deselect “Show most recent message at the top.”

Sorry, mine is in Swedish and the translation means "Settings" so I didn´t think of going there.
Tried going there and you really have to be Sherlock Holmes to try to figure out the original English, the translations are extremely poor, but I think I found the right check box.

That didn´t help as I don´t have the option "Preferences" under my Mail menu.
What do you have under "Mail"?
