Apple tv text flickering

Hello, I have an apple TV 4K 2nd gen, video settings are set to Dolby Vision 4K as I have a Philips tv that is Dolby vision. However, the text on some apps keeps flickering. It is like if the text is blinking ! When I restart the device it resolves the issue but after few hours of usage it comes back. I don’t know if this is related to the new apple tv OS . I have a good HDMI cable 2.0 and I even switch to another one to check if the issue is from the HDMI but I had same issue. I did not reset my APPLE TV.

Hello Iamafi,

You mentioned this happened with some apps. Which apps are you referring to? If it's only in a specific set of apps, you can try troubleshooting the apps themselves.

With one of the apps, remove it and install it back before restarting the Apple TV to see if it does the same thing: Customize the Apple TV Home Screen - Apple Support

1. Select the app you want to delete, then press and hold the clickpad center (second-generation Siri Remote) or touch surface (first-generation Siri Remote) until the app starts to jiggle.

2. Press the Play/Pause button for more options, then choose Delete.

3. Deleting an app also deletes its data. You can download any app again that you’ve purchased on the App Store, free of charge, but the data may not be restored.
