Ubiquitous TLS and insecure Wi-Fi warnings and related details do tends to be mechanisms that the oft-overhyped and “under-privacied” first-few-hops commercial VPN services can fail to mention in their marketing materials. The commercial first-few-hops VPN services are something I deeply mistrust.
