Importing A Large Specific Photo Album From iPhone Onto MacBook

I have a photo album with almost 3,000 pictures and some videos in it. I don't have enough iPhone storage to keep them on my phone, so I want to import them onto my MacBook to save space. Only about 100 of them are on iCloud, as I don't have space for all 3,000 of them on there either. This is why I'm relying on the import feature, but it seems that I can only click individual photos instead of importing one album. I can't click 3,000 photos straight, and if I mess up I have to start all over. I'm not willing to spend $50+ on an import app or program just to use it once.

Also, after I find a way to get them all off of my phone and into a secure folder on my MacBook, would I be able to delete the entire album (with all the pictures in it) from iCloud and not have to worry about them also being deleted off of my computer?

Hi,

I know how to select all pictures on an iPhone. I am talking about the process on the computer. When I connect my phone to the computer with the lightning cord and open Photos on MacBook, I click on my device in the left bar, but my only option is to select all, as in every single picture in my library, or to click each individual picture I want. Clicking each individual picture will not work because I have thousands that are scattered around my library. When importing, is there a way I can select a specific album on MacBook without clicking each individual picture?

Thank You
