Since ios 16 the calendar app is getting invites for shared google calendars

Since upgrading to ios16, the inbox in the calendar app is showing invites for my wife's Google calendar that I only have shared access to. How can I stop these?

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16

Found a work around explained in step 2 here: https://www.tenorshare.com/ios-file-transfer/how-to-sync-google-calendar-to-iphone-and-ipad.html

Basically uncheck the shared calendars from this location. http://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect

This is different from unchecking via the native iOS Calendar App. It’s certainly an iOS 16 issue, but it stops the invites and I can still see my work calendar via an iOS device.

well I just deleted my calendar from my phone and it’s still downloading everyone’s events. Guess it isn’t going to work for me. I went into settings\calendar\accounts\my email account and “turned off” calendar. Let it delete everything, rebooted and tried again and it’s downloading everyone in the company’s events that aren’t meant for me to my inbox. Anyone have any other ideas? I’m up to date on iOS…..16.1.2
