Epson Perfection V600 drivers for Windows and Mac

Just bought this scanner and cannot get it to run on Windows. Running windows 10 and it immediately goes into error mode upon connecting it to the computer. Tried to run in compatibility mode and as Windows Vista mode etc.

Gave up and now installed the epson scanner drivers etc (and the VueScan) on my Mac running IOS 11.16.1. Connects to the scanner and no blinking error light but then go to open the scanner utility and it gives the error message and starts blinking. Turn it off and on then open Vuescan, scanner fine until I hit scan....

So done with this scanner its about to be returned or set on fire. Please help. All drivers are up to date on both operating systems but nothing is working.

VueScan Professional requires functional Epson drivers to be installed for the V600 scanner, regardless of Windows or macOS. There are scanners that VueScan supports without vendor drivers but this is not the one. I know that you said all drivers are up to date, but verify that you have installed the following. This is not a VueScan, Epson, or Windows support site.
