iPhone stuck on Home Critical Alerts

I have this issue but with my iPad 8 and I can’t fix it, is there a way for iPad??

Might I ask if you were doing anything specifically when it started happening? For example, a lot of the photos of this problem that have been posted on this thread show that the users’ iPhones were having some other kind of problem at the same time, such as a bunch of notifications stating that text messages failed to send. Additionally, several people were live chatting with Apple when it happened. So have you been having any other issues that might explain why this issue is coming up? Additionally, I would be interested to know whether these incidents are more common in certain countries or regions (e.g. Middle East), not sure how to determine that though.

What happens if the phone dies before you restart it? As I’ve been trying to do factory settings all morning and it’s just not happening. His battery is about to die. Will it come back on if this happens

Had this happened to me today, tried the key up down and hold but didn't work. I do have siri enabled so I asked siri to restart my phone which she was able to do and made the notification go away. After restart, I changed the "Home" App notification so hopefully don't get this pop-up again.

i have the 9th generation ipad and the critical alert is stuck on my Home Screen and my ipad turned off and there is no way I can get into my ipad bc the critical alert is stuck on my screen freezing it and won’t let me press allow or don’t allow please reply soon I have important stuff to get to on my ipad

My phone is stuck and the up down press power off did not work. It won’t recognize anything I touch. I’ve decided to do old faithful- kill the battery and really force a reset. Apple I am disappointed in you. Fix this. I will be updating if it decides to work again.

This happened to me on a brand new iPhone 14. The hard reboot suggested by JulianotBella worked.

I'm disappointed that this thread is a year old, and this issue is still happening. Apple, please fix this glitch!

OMG THANKS SO MUCH!! I was so mad for getting My phone like that!! And you guys helped!! I tried so many times and I didn’t understand it! But then I kept doing it. Gosh I thought I had to get a new phone lol. But yeah guys the steps WORK!!

Sus HOME notification:

It took a couple try’s but it worked. Plug phone in for 5 minutes (and don’t touch it)

unplug phone

hold down right side button for 15 seconds. If Siri turns on then press the same button multiple times till Siri turns off and then press and hold the same button for 15 second.

when screen turns black after the 15 seconds tap the up volume once and the down button once.

Stay Drippin, no cap

Proceed like you would normally turn the phone power off, just hold the right side button down longer then normal. As you do this tap the down button one and the up button once. In about 30 seconds the phone will go black. Then power on your phone.

I have this problem with an iPhone XS, and I can't figure out how to get rid of this message. I have tried the restart, and it's not working for me; I fear it will ring the emergency services. I don't know what to do. will I keep trying, or is there something else I can do?

What i did is that i kept holding the power button until siri popped up and i told her to power off my phone.She asked me if I wanted to confirm and since I couldn't press anything i said yes.Once it powered off i kept on holding the volume and power button and it turned on with no problem!

i thought I knew everything apple but I gotta admit, that had me going there for a while,

ESPECIALLY when I couldn’t turn it off the normal way.

I knew about force restarting your iphone, I have a iPhone 13pro but all that knowledge disappears from your rational calm and collected mind when your really stressing that your phone and you can’t even turn it off the normal way ….

this just happened to my friend around an hour ago and all you do is click volume up once quickly then same for the down button and then hold the power button for super long. so volume up volume down hold power off button until it shuts off and then it should turn on, we tried EVERYTHING on google so this should work!!
