To confirm, are you not hearing the chime that plays from the AirPods when connecting? If not, are you able to hear audio as expected when playing music or watching video content? The reason we ask is to help isolate the issue further. If you're not able to hear any audio although the AirPods are connected, complete the steps listed below. While the article indicates these steps help with sound related issues, they can be helpful in resolving other issues as well. If you're able to hear audio without issue, but unable to hear the chime when the AirPods connect, these steps can also help with that issue.
- "Make sure that your charging case is fully charged.
- Place both AirPods in your charging case and let them charge for 30 seconds.

- Check the charge status on your iPhone or iPad to make sure that each AirPod is charging
