I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade my MAC OS. It is a late 2013 model with an Intel processor with 8 gig of memory. The guidance on Apple Web site says only MACs from 2014 are supported. Other resources on the net say that it can be updated. Looking for some advice/help if this is possible. I don't want to have to buy a new machine just to run Turbo Tax 2022. Thanks

It shows that 10.15.x is the latest it can be upgraded to.
you haven't said which model of Mac that we are discussing. that makes a big difference as to which 2013 Macs that can run Big Sur. does it fall into one of these categories?
have you considered using Turbotax online. depending on how complicated your return may be, it might be a good fit for you.
I use H&R Block online every year, but I'm in Canada. I'm not sure if turbotax is available up here.
Only issue is income limitation. If your AGI is over 73K looks like it doesn't work from a quick look. Same for the free eFile. In a few years the IRS will have their own in house tool to compete. It will probably work like TT or may even be TT. hanks for the tip !
I have an IMAC Model identifier Imac14,3. Looking at the chart it says IMAC 2014 or later.
Thanks, I think I am out of luck. Guess I will either have to find a Tax package that supports Catalina or buy an inexpensive Windows laptop.

I am in the US and just use the free IRS online tax preparation site. Works great and the price is right.
