Apple ID at podcast creator

How can I remove my Apple ID from a podcast Channel? I did the stores mentioned at Apple page support however now I cannot access my ITunes app or page. How can I fix that and also ensure that my Apple ID is no longer linked at the podcast?

If you log into Podcasts Connect and go to the podcast you should see a 'Delete podcast' link. However as it shouldn't be the case that you can both administer it, there's no official documentation on this - the danger is that you may remove the Podcast altogether.

Go into Podcasts Connect, select your podcasts, and make a note of the number under 'Apple Podcasts Show ID'. Now ask your friend to do the same.

If you get different numbers then probably you can delete it (but obviously I can'te be sure). If you get the same number - more likely - I wouldn't try. I'm afraid it looks like a matter for Support: https://itunespartner.apple.com/contact/?content_type=podcasts

I was the creator of a podcast that was linked at my Apple Id in the Apple podcast. However I decided to not move forward with the podcast and my friend will. We set up the steps mentioned in the following links about how to change the ownership:

https://podcasters.apple.com/support/885-users-and-access

https://podcasters.apple.com/support/839-transfer-ownership-of-a-podcast

She did the steps mentioned to create an Apple ID and link to the podcast, but now I can’t remove myself from the podcast. So the podcast it’s still under my Apple ID and under her Apple Id as well... but the content rights and author is already setup as her...

How can we fix that? I tried to be supported by chat and phone call but they told me that I should sent an e-mail to podcastsupport@apple.com but I didn’t receive any support either.

I would have thought that it shouldn't have been possible for a podcast to be owned by two separate IDs.

So, you contacted them at https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/contactus, they asked you to add something to the feed and you did that, and you told them the new ID - correct?

Can your friend sign in at https://podcastsconnect.apple.com and select the podcast, and then be able to see all the details and administer it?

What happens if you sign in there - can you select the podcast and see the details?

These instructions might also help:

It is possible to transfer the ownership of a podcast to another Apple ID: poster tcarreira did this and has posted the method:

0 - Contact apple support from the current owner of the podcast: Contact Us -> Podcasts(My Issue Is Not Listed)*.
... wait for them to answer with further instructions and a code...
1. Insert the authorization code “xxxxxx” in the <itunes:keywords> or <copyright> tag.
2. Verify that your Apple ID is activated.
3. Obtain the direct link to your show on Apple Podcasts.**
4. Customize the statement below, and paste it in your reply to this message.
I authorize changing management in Podcasts Connect and access to Podcast Analytics to the account [Apple ID email address]. As requested, I have inserted the authorization code in the [specify tag] tag.
Paste the direct link to your show on Apple Podcasts

*Go to Apple Podcasts for Creators and click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.

**To obtain the link in Apple Podcasts app (Mac - Catalina) find your podcast and click the three dots icon to the right of the 'Subscribe' button and choose 'Copy Link'. In iTunes - control-click (Mac) or right-click (PC) on the podcast image (or where it should be) and choose 'Copy Link'.

I'm not sure the Support email address you were given is valid any more. Try:

https://itunespartner.apple.com/contact/?content_type=podcasts

Occasionally people have been unable to get through to that contact page. If so, contact Support. Don't report it as a podcasting problem - they don't handle those - but as an inability to get to the contact page.

I have interpreted this to mean you are dealing with other people's podcasts rather than one you've created, and asked the Hosts to move it to the Podcasts App forum. However if I have misinterpreted this and you are talking about a podcast you've created yourself please post again, but with exact details about what you are trying to do (including, please, a link to the Apple Support page you mentioned).

OK, sorry I misinterpreted you. Don't worry about moving the post, I'm following it so I will see your answers. You don't need to (and can't) edit the original post, just reply in the usual way.

Can you give me a link to the Support page you mentioned; and exactly what did youy want to do? You say 'remove your ID' - do you mean move the podcast to a different ID?

I contacted them but they didn't reply, that's maybe be the part of the issue, because I didn't add anything to the feed no even told them new ID("...they asked you to add something to the feed and you did that, and you told them the new ID")

However my friend created the Apple Id and was able to link under the podcast. Now we both have the admin functions and can't see each other or remove. I can't either remove myself...

I will try to contact them again...
