iTunes doesn't let me create playlists or edit Tracks on my iPhone anymore.

Hi guys,

i'm desperated because i see no solution to my Problem.

Plugging my iPhone 13 and opening the Music App used to result in my device showing up on the left side of the window.

It also listed all the playlists on the device beneath it. I used to rightclick on songs and getting a menu with options like add to playlist, edit, etc etc.

But that's no more.

I can still drag & drop new songs to the device, but i cannot put them to playlists or edit the track informations as in name or changing the cover.

Infact, rightclicking on tracks doesn't do anything, there isnt even a menu showing up.

The only option i have is to demount the device via the music app.

The phone is acting the same as having just an USB stick plugged in to the mac.

And that's all since updating something, i don't know what, it just told me to update to the latest version to be able to use the music app. I think it was an update for both the phone (ios 16.0.2) and the mac (Monterey 12.6), but now nothing works anymore.

This problem occurs in both my Macbook Air (m1) and my Windows Notebook.

Also for the iPhone 4, 5s and the 13 Pro.

It's really annyoing.

I'm hoping for help, thanks.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6

Hello Mubaka,

You should be able to sync your iPhone as you always have, complete with playlists.

If using a Mac, you would use Finder as outlined here: Sync music between your Mac and iPhone or iPad

If using a PC, iTunes is still the app you would use: Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

If you have any issues using those steps, post back and others may be able to assist.

Cheers.
