apple watch series 8 microphone not working

I started using my new watch for a week now and noticed that the microphone isn't working. Does anyone in this forum has the same problem?

Hey I am from India facing the same issue

I was told by the customer support team that it is a hardware issue but I can’t believe it because every time I restart my device (watch) it’s mic starts working again. So I am in a state of dilemma now so can anyone surely tell me if it’s a software issue. Moreover I am very tightly packed during the weekdays so don’t have enough room for the service centres appointments.

And if it’s a software issue I humbly request

Apple to release a software patch as soon as possible.
