Data recovery
So my friend's phone has a white screen and the only thing it says is Data recovery cannot be completed. Please restore your iPhone from backup. I want to know if i can restore her phone with my MacBook?

You can restore her iPhone from your MacBook. However, you probably do not have a backup file of her iPhone on your MacBook. If this is correct, then you can only restore her iPhone to factory settings. All the data on the iPhone will be lost. Once the iPhone has been restored to factory settings, then you can hand her the iPhone so that she can log in and activate the iPhone with her Apple ID and Password. Once that is done, then she can restore her iPhone from iCloud backup, if she used iCloud for backups, OR set it up as new from scratch by downloading all the apps from the App Store again.
