Spotify stopping on Apple Watch Ultra with cellular

When I’m not near my phone or it is off and I am using the Spotify app on the watch with Air Pods Pro (Generation 2), after the song I initially play, it stops and you can’t skip to the next song, start a new one, play a different artist, etc., unless you Kay it the app and restart it. Then this just repeats each time. Has anyone else experienced this? Everything is up to date as far as software versions go.

You mention not being near your iPhone. Does the same thing happen if you are near the iPhone?


Like any other device, we would recommend power cycling the Apple Watch. While simple, this can refresh the iOS, apps and connections. From, Restart your Apple Watch:


1. If your Apple Watch is charging, take it off the charger.
2. Press and hold the side button until you see the power button  in the upper-right corner of the display.
3. Tap the power button.
4. Drag the Power Off slider.
5. After your watch turns off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.


If the issue continues, we would remove the app, and then reinstall it:


Delete apps from your Apple Watch

Download apps on your Apple Watch

Thanks for the reply. I don’t think it’s interference as this issue doesn’t occur with Apple Music; only Spotify.also I’m on cellular and not WiFi. It doesn’t seem to matter where I am at. While the song is playing, it’s seamless without any type of disruption or disturbance. When the song ends and I notice the next one isn’t playing, I’ll try to skip to the next track and it won’t do anything. If I try to pick a different song or artist and press play, it won’t play. I must kill the app and restart it after every song. Again, no issue at all with Apple Music.
