Typically, you would connect a wireless printer to a Wi-Fi router (a home/office Wi-Fi network). That is, to the same Wi-Fi network that you are using for the laptop. In this case, the WPA2 (which I assume that you mean) password is determined by the Wi-Fi router (settings). You would have to enter the password on each computer/printer/device that you connect to the router.
Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support
However, you may have a special "Wi-Fi dongle", such as a 4G/5G mobile broadband modem with built-in Wi-Fi (travel router, personal hotspot), or something similar. Therefore, in order to avoid any misunderstanding, you may want to post back with:
a) the exact printer make and model
b) the exact Wi-Fi dongle type/model
c) the Wi-Fi router (if any) model
d) any details about how the involved units/devices are connected
