Hello nanzetta,

Based on the information provided in the article you came from, we are not seeing any type of limit.

As long as it is in one of these forms listed at Add verifiable COVID-19 vaccination information to Apple Wallet and Health, it should be able to be added:

  1. If you received a QR code
  2. If you saved an image of a QR code
  3. If you received a downloadable file

Specific steps for each of those situations are outlined at the page referenced earlier.

Have a good day.

I NOW HAVE THE ANSWER

The QR Code for Covid-19 will only hold 4 vaccinations.

I determined this experimentally: With my latest booster, I have a total of 5 vaccinations. The State of Maryland QR code only includes the most recent 4 of these. On the other hand, Kaiser posts a notice that the 5th vaccination can not be shared, limiting their QR code also to 4 vaccinations. (Of the 2 approaches, the State of Maryland makes the most sense since one can keep a QR code for the first 4 and then get a QR code for the most recent 4 -- over the years one could accumulate a deck of vaccination cards in their Apple Wallet)

I believe the limitation to 4 shots is inherent in the specifications of the QR code used for sharing Covid-19 vaccination information, and isn't an Apple problem. I say this because when I try to get a QR code from Kaiser, they refuse to give me a QR code with the 5th shot; there is a banner saying it can not be shared. Yet when I get a QR code from the Maryland health web site I get the 5th shot, with the 1st shot dropped off.

I recently had my 3rd Covid booster, which equals a total of 5 Covid shots. I sucessfully added the record to my Apple Wallet, or I thought so until I noticed that the new Covid Vaccination Card in my Wallet app is only showing the 4 most recent shots. My first Covid shot had dropped off the list.

So like nanzetta, I'm wondering if the vaccine card function in the Wallet app is currently limited to 4 entries, and perhaps needs updating in the era of ongoing boosters. I spoke on the phone to Apple Support and the tech advised me to update to the most recent iOS version (16.0.3), which I did. It made no difference.

Anyone have an idea about this?
