Apple photos question from a PC user

A relative uses a Mac and wanted a copy of 500+ family photos that I have had scanned and saved to a flash drive. The photos on the flash are named according to the year taken and I added the month, event & location of each photo (using my PC) as "tags" in File Explorer (before I knew she used Mac).

  1. If I send her the flash drive, will she be able to plug it into her Mac and upload the photos into her Apple Photos acct?
  2. Will the names of the photos stay the same?
  3. Will she be able to see the info I entered as tags somewhere in her Apple Photos acct?
  4. If I go back and manually enter (in bulk) the "date taken" using File Explorer before I send the flash drive, will the "date taken" info show up correctly on her Mac?

Thank you for any help you can offer!

  1. Probably.
  2. As they are filenames, yes.
  3. No. Photos works with standard photo metadata - that is tags written to the Exif and IPTC metadata.
  4. If this is written to the correct place in the metadata.
