IOS 16 - new Notifications modes
Now that IOS16 has introduced new Notifications features (count, stack + list), is there a way of just showing the senders ID, rather than the whole, or part of, msg? Could be embarrsing!!

You can manage and customize notifications for Messages. This resource has details on what is available: Change message notifications on iPhone - Apple Support
From what you've described, you may want to look at the option in: Settings > Notifications > Messages > Show Previews. If you want to not show the message content, change that to "Never." We hope this helps.
