I am being tracked by an AirTag hidden in my car and I can’t find it

I’ve tried finding the anAirTag that has been hidden in my car. I even had a friend pull the rugs and floor up to get into the area in the trunk with the spare tire. We cannot find the AirTag that has been following me for the last year. I’ve called Apple about it several times, and they cannot assist because of their lack of remote access. I have no way to disable this device that is tracking me unless I can find it. What can I do?
