FCP-Unwanted icons on the desktop

When I burn a disc in FCP I get 3 empty icons of discs on the desktop. This hasn't happened before but I upgraded to OS12.6 recently and wonder if that is the reason. Here is a picture of the event. It always happens now. Not a big deal just annoying and may indicate other problems.

That is bit weird, annoying but probably innocuous.

I take it that you are burning directly to DVD.

Does it also happen if you make a disk image file (choose Device: Hard Drive in the share settings)?

This may avoid this one issue, and has other benefits, too.

FWIW, I don't think I ever burned to DVD directly from FCP. Making a disk image allows one to make sure the process works, and the resulting DVD looks as expected, before committing to an actual physical disc.

Plus, if you want to make several copies, you need only export once, then burn the disk image as many times as needed, so it saves (possibly a lot of) time, too.
