Keynote: Can't have more than six colors in a pie chart?

So, is there any way to have more than six colors in a pie chart? You can do it with a bar graph by customizing the color for additional bars, but I can't get this done for pie chart? This seems like a super crazy arbitrary limitation. Anyone out there have any way to solve this?

Click on the pie chart on the slide to select

to add additional portions, click on Edit Chart Data, right click a colour patch and select Insert column

insert a value for the portion

to change colour, select the pie chart on the slide, then click on a wedge to select it

open the colour wheel [command shift C] and click in the colour wheel for the required colour
