I have hundreds of still photo files and dozens of video files in Photos that I want to copy to Dropbox so that a friend can access/download them from there.
What are the best steps to do this on my iMac?
I've searched here and can't find a clear combination of 1) select many files in Photos at once for copying/export AND ensure they're original size once they get to Dropbox.
Any help appreciated. Thanks. :)

Are they edited in photos?
If not, select them all, and choose "export unmodified originals". They will be exported exactly as they were when imported. I'd always suggest unmodified for videos otherwise they will be re-encoded for export which will be really slow.
If you've done edits to the photos that you want to retain then just use export, and choose jpg, quality 80%+ full size.
Then upload them to dropbox from the folder you export to.
