Greetings RickyMcGraw,

We see in the article viewed before posting, it shows:

If you have AirPods or AirPods Pro, place your AirPods in the charging case and close the lid

Your photo shows the lid open, if you haven't tried with closing the lid, please do so.

If you're still not getting the case charged, here’s some information about charging your AirPods - Charge AirPods Pro If we’re working with a case that has wireless charging capabilities, attempt to charge wirelessly and note if you’re still seeing an issue. That would tell you more about whether the issue might be related to the charging port.

Charge the AirPods case
To charge the case, close the lid, then do one of the following:
• Charge with a cable: Connect the case to a power outlet using a Lightning to USB Cable and a compatible power adapter.
• Charge Wirelessly: Place the case with the status light facing up on the center of a MagSafe wireless charger or a Qi-certified charger.

When the case is aligned properly with the charger, the status light turns on for several seconds, then turns off while continuing to charge.

Another thing you can do is take a look in the port and make sure there isn’t any dirt or debris in there.

Thanks.

Hey RickyMcGraw,

Thanks for letting us know. You could also try cleaning the port of the AirPods case using these steps to ensure there isn't lint or debris in the charging port: How to clean your AirPods and EarPods

It's still not charging properly, you may want to look into service options if applicable in your region:  AirPods Repair - Official Apple Support.

Take care.
