This is odd. When I delete files from iCloud Drive, they show up in the trash of my new MacBook Air M2. It never happens on my iMac or my two Mac Mini systems. It's not the end of the world but is certainly confusing.
Any suggestions?

If you change your mind before emptying the Trash
Note : as iCloud Drive is turned on , the files deleted from finder > location > iCloud Drive will move in Mac bin , in your other two Macs , you delete files from iCloud.com so they will move in recently deleted and not in Mac bin Delete files in iCloud Drive on iCloud.com - Apple Support
Also in two Macs iCloud Drive is not turned on or all three Macs might not be signed in with same Apple ID and password on the same network .

Mine have always shown up in trash once deleted from iCloud Drive, provided I haven't permanently deleted the file as that is the equivalent of emptying the trash.
That doesn’t sound right. First, none of the files are located on the MacBook in question. Next, I’ve been using iCloud Drive for quite some time and have never had deleted files show up in the trash on any of my other Macs.
That's supposed to happen when you delete a file in iCloud Drive from iCloud.com; it also deletes it from your system and places it into trash.
That still doesn’t explain why it only happens on one of my 4 Mac systems.
