New iphone

Got a new iPhone 13. Passing my iPhone 11 to my father in a different city. I transferred my data to the new iPhone 13, but haven’t switched the chip. I’m using the 13 and have wiped the 11. Should I still move the chip? Is it too late?

You can remove the old SIM card at any time or your father can do it when he puts his SIM in. If your new iPhone 13 is working, there is no need to move the SIM to it.

Also, when you wiped the old phone, did you use the following instructions? What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
