AOL app password GENERATOR no longer working - 10-9-2022 and earlier

Here we are again on Feb 2nd 2023 and the AOL password generator is again not woprking and when I try to ask for help all I get is a message that I can view my emails via the aol webmail which is no comfort at all since I need to re-install my aol emails into my Outlook browser which I use for all of my business and personal emails and can easily switch from one to another.

I cannot get my head around why the password generator might work on some occasions but it is never working when I need it.

Hi folks. March 11th and the app password generator is not working for me. I tried Firefox (normal and private), Chrome (normal and incognito), and Safari (normal and private) by some miracle this was - in any way - related to the browser. I also attempted to create the password with a simple device name (no caps, spaces, just "mac" lower case", again just by chance if it'd help. No dice.

I have 3 AOL emails. I was able to generate passwords for 2 of them without any issue. Been trying for days to generate the 3rd password that is "currently unavailable". Had no idea this was an issue. The Mail App on my Mac is corrupt and forced to get a new email app. Good thing I didn't pay for the replacement because I can't get all my emails on it.

I had trouble getting Mail to access my AOL account today so deleted the App Password to generate a new one and am now getting the same message. If this continues I'll just get rid of my AOL account and move on (I've had this account since I had AOL dial-up, so it's been a little while).

Odd. Maybe it's because I'm a legacy Compuserve user (bought by AOL in the early '00s, I think.) Perhaps you came under the current corporate umbrella in a different way?

It’s true. I check everyday. The same result. I do hope this ongoing problem has nothing to do with money.

Well after I saw this post I tried it just now, doesn't work on Edge browser.

Beating my head against the wall the past hour trying to figure out why I couldn't get this verizon account to work with a new PC...

11/15, still unable to generate this ridiculous app password

Just tried it, still not working for me, sigh.

so November 22, and this is not working, ive lost all my emails from my outlook and having to juggle between AOL online and my work when is this going to be sorted

OK but I don't see a place for general settings to set up forwarding. Any hints there? I have a free account. Thanks
