Apple music

I have the family plan but when anyone else is listening to music on the three other phones it kicks the rest of us out. We all have our own apple IDs and I have the family plan. I’ve checked but didn’t really need to because when I purchased it it asked me to add family members to said family plan. How or why can I not listen and why have a family plan if it doesn’t work? Also I have tried using the same Apple ID for all the phones as well. Same problem.

This was the wrong thing do. Each person as you said, must have their own Apple ID signed into the device they are using. Trying this, may have cause many more issues now.

When playing music, you can only play on one device at a time that is signed to a specific Apple ID, if you try to play on another device that is signed in to the same Apple ID, it will stop playback on the first one.

If you have changed Apple IDs, and attempted to play apple Music you may have locked the devices out of the original Apple ID now, and will have to wait 90 days before you can log in again with the Original Apple ID.

You must verify what Apple ID is signed in for iCloud and Media & Purchases on each device.

Settings->Account(top of settings) and Settings->Account->Media & Purchases.
